VanderQ, on a mission to create the best Barbeque on Earth!
VanderQ started as a passion for North Carolina BBQ, with an early influence by Short Sugars BBQ in Reidsville, NC. We love to eat it, therefore we must cook it. Our sauces are unlike any you've ever had, featuring a vinegar based Bourbon sauce, and for ribs our Apricot, Reisling and Mustard recipe. Eastern NC whole hog is our specialty. We also serve up some damn tasty ribs, chicken, brisket, butts and shoulders.
VanderQ is based near Charlotte, NC and was born at the Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival on September 14, 2008. We placed 3rd out of 57 teams for our ribs in our 1st competition event. We have learned a bit since then, we were fortunate enough to be invited to join Swine & Dine for the World BBQ Championship at Memphis In May. What a truly great group of people and, maybe, the most fun we have ever had!
